What this site knows about you

What you type

Nothing you enter into a tool on this site is sent anywhere. The weights, purities, measurements and offers you type are used by JavaScript running in your own browser to produce a number on your own screen, and that is the end of them. There is no server receiving them, because there is no server — the site is a set of static files.

Some tools put your inputs in the address bar, so a result can be shared as a link. That is visible to you, it stays in your browser history, and it goes nowhere unless you send the link to somebody.

What is stored on your device

Two things, both in local storage, both readable only by this site:

• Your currency choice, so you are not resetting it on every page.
• Your light or dark preference.

Neither is a tracking identifier and neither is transmitted. Clearing your browser data removes both.

What your browser fetches from elsewhere

To show live prices, your browser requests current metal prices and, if you have picked a currency other than dollars, a foreign-exchange rate. Those requests come from your browser, so those services see your IP address and the fact that a price was requested — the same as visiting any website. They are not told what you are weighing, what you entered, or which page you are on.

The site also loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. No other third-party requests are made.

Advertising

This site shows adverts served by Google AdSense, which is how it is paid for. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure those ads, and in some configurations to personalise them based on your prior browsing.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you will be asked for consent before any personalised advertising cookie is set, and you can refuse — the site works identically either way, and you will simply see non-personalised ads instead.

An advert for a gold buyer appearing next to a calculator on this site is an advert and nothing else. It is not a recommendation, it has not been checked by us, and the payout ranges published on these pages apply to it exactly as they apply to anyone else.

Analytics

There are none. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no pixels, no heatmaps and no session recording. The advertising described above is the only third-party code on the site.

Your rights
